Thinking of taking a trip to the Spanish island of Majorca? Here’s the top 5 cool things to do according to the travel insurance team at loveit coverit. Before we go any further, we should probably clear up the Mallorca/Majorca thing, you may have seen it spelled both ways, Mallorca is the Spanish spelling and Majorca is the English spelling. Chances are we’ll do a little of both in this article!
Sail the north of Mallorca in beautiful clear water with your own captain to guide you, take the helm yourself or allow them to take control while you sit back and soak up the sunshine. With wine, beer, and tapas included all you need to bring with you is a swimsuit and a smile!
I’m a little uncertain how “cool” this is nowadays, but I’m sure if I was 15 years younger, I’d have a different opinion of clubbing in Magaluf. There’s a few options that stand out from the crowd, the legendary BCM Planet Dance, Mambo’s Terrace, Tokio Joes, and Ocean Beach club. Again, in my humble opinion it’s basically like clubbing in Southend-on-Sea but with more sunshine, so if that’s your thing get stuck in!
Indulge in a unique spa experience at Hammam Al Ándalus, the ultimate in relaxation for your stay in Mallorca. Choose between spa treatments, massage, steam and sauna at the nourishing oasis of tranquillity in the heart of Palma. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the surroundings are beautiful.
If you want to escape the resorts and feel some sand between your toes, the beaches at Parc Natural de Mondrago are the place to be. The calas or small bays are easily accessible by foot, and have beautiful shallows for paddling in. Be warned though the beaches in the nature reserve park are popular, so if you want to rent a sunbed and get the best spots make sure you arrive early.
Take flight over the beautiful island of Mallorca, with views over the Mediterranean you’ll go on an adventure through the skies that you won’t forget.
