The moment we all (well, most of us) have been waiting for is here. The new iPhones are out and we couldn’t be more excited. Therefore, we created a summary of everything revealed in the keynote event.
This year, we had no long introductions – Apple started to amaze us right away.
Here people can download games only available to Apple users for only £4.99 a month. The feature will have more than 100 games with new ones added every month. First month will be free for everyone.
With new Apple original series this will be available for only £4.99 a month for the whole family. It will launch on the 1st of November and everyone who buys an Apple device will have the first year of Apple TV+ free.
The new iPad got a bigger screen – 10.2-inch Retina display and is made of 100% recycled aluminium. The new iPad is supported by the iPadOS which allows the iPad to work two times faster than the most popular laptops. Now you are able to work on multiple screens at once making multitasking easier. The iPads will be more affordable with prices starting from £329. It is available for pre-order from today and will be in shops from 30th September.
Apple worked with many specialists to introduce three new health apps- Apple Hearing Study, Apple Women’s Health Study and Heart & Movement Study. All these apps will analyse your state of health, movements, the level of sound you’re exposed to in order to help detect and prevent illnesses. The watch will feature new always-on display, with built in compass. It is expected that the Apple Watch will have 18-hour battery life and built in safety features with international emergency calling. New colours for watch’s straps and cases were introduced as well. The series 5 Apple watch’s price will start from £399 and you can order it from today. The series 3 Apple Watch’s price was therefore reduced to £199.
This year Apple introduced three iPhones – iPhone 11, the iPhone XR’s successor, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. As expected, none of the phones support 5G.
Let’s start with the little brother of the Apple’s 2019 family – iPhone 11. This device disappointingly does not come with a triple lens camera, but it does have a 12 MP dual-camera setup with 100% focus pixels and ultra-wide set-up. The portrait mode has been updated as well and allows to take even more professional looking pictures. The iPhone 11 does not work with the Apple Pencil as it was rumoured before. However, the phone has 6.1-inch Liquid Retina screen and impressive video making abilities. The videos shot with iPhone 11 look like they have been shot with a professional camera. Apple claim that it has the highest quality video in smartphones. The phone also supports wireless charging and promises one hour longer battery life than its predecessor, iPhone XR. It comes in six new colours- yellow, green, purple, white, black and red. It is water and dust resistant and can be held in up to 30m deep water for up to two minutes. The phone has the powerful A13 processor, Face ID recognition and will be priced from just £729. This might be a nice option for people who want to get the latest Apple device (oh the Apple hype) but don’t want to spend too much on it.
iPhone 11’s bigger brother is the iPhone 11 Pro. Apple call it the most advanced phone they have ever created. The phone will be available in Midnight Green, Space Grey, Silver and a New Gold colour. This iPhone features the rumoured 12 MP triple lens camera and a 12 MP true depth selfie camera in a new layout. The iPhone 11 Pro’s camera allows to take even better-quality photos and videos than the iPhone 11. Also, the video editing options have been significantly improved. The 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max do not come with an Apple Pencil like it was rumoured before. However, same as Apple 11, the phone will have the super powerful A13 processor, wireless charging and Face ID support. Apple promises 4-hour longer battery life than the iPhone XS. The price will start from £1049.
The biggest iPhone this year is the iPhone 11 Pro Max (that’s a long name isn’t it?). It comes with the same display size as the iPhone XS Max (6.5-inch OLED). It has the same camera as iPhone 11 Pro, A13 processor, wireless charging and Face ID next to many new exciting features. Apple also promises 5-hour longer battery life than the iPhone XS Max. It will be priced from £1149.
All iPhones will be available to pre-order from Friday, 13th September and will be available in shops from 20th September.
