How to Use Find My iPhone: Adding Your iPhone

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Find My.
    If prompted, sign in using your Apple ID.
    Don’t have an Apple ID? Tap Don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it? and follow the instructions.
  2. Tap Find My iPhone, then switch it on.

This feature helps locate your iPhone even if it’s offline (no Wi-Fi or cellular connection). Supported models (iPhone 11 to iPhone 16) can be located up to 24 hours after being turned off or 5 hours in power reserve mode.

Yes, but all iPhones must be purchased from a VAT registered UK supplier within the last 36 months (from the policy start date). This must be supported by a valid proof of purchase document.

You may have 12 months' coverage with your manufacturer, but this will usually only cover mechanical breakdowns. Cracked screens, liquid damage, accidental damage, loss, and theft are not included.

Step 1. Go www.iCloud.com via an Internet Browser.
Step 2. Click on the option 'Find My' (Displays as a Radar Symbol).
Step 3. Under the sub-category of “all devices” - Select the device that has been Lost / Stolen.
Step 4. Click 'Mark as Lost'.
Step 5. Add the following message when prompted - “Please contact 01702 568 081 if found”.

The truth is that phone insurance may not be worth it... until you actually have to make a claim. You could very easily pay out for insurance every month and never see a return on your investment, which may seem like a waste. But if you choose to go without insurance and your device is broken or lost, you’ll almost certainly have to spend more money to fix it than you would have sent on a policy. If you feel comfortable without insurance, then you probably don’t need it, but if you want that added peace of mind, it’s a must-have.

Remove Find My iPhone via iCloud

Step 1 - Go to www.iCloud.com & log in with your Apple ID & Password.
Step 2 – Click on ‘Find My’ symbol (Displays as a Radar Symbol)
Step 3 – Click on phone you need to remove - listed in the section ‘All Devices’
Step 4 – Select the option ‘Remove This Device’
Step 5 – Click ‘remove’

To remove Find my iPhone via your device

Step 1 – Go to ‘settings’
Step 2 – Tap on your name at the top (Apple ID, iCloud, iTunes & App Store)
Step 3 – Tap on ‘Find my’
Step 4 – Tap on ‘Find my iPhone’
Step 5 – Swipe off Find my iPhone (you will need to enter your Apple ID password for this to take effect)
