How much does Nothing Phone insurance cost?

The price of Nothing Phone insurance depends on which model you own. Usually, you’ll find that the higher the retail price, the higher the cost of cover.

More recent models can cost more to insure as they have a higher market value and are in higher demand.

Nothing Phone insurance explained

Loss

Mobile phone loss refers to the absence of your mobile device due to misplacement, or other accidental circumstances that result in its absence.

Theft

Mobile phone theft insurance means you can be protected against unauthorised usage and receive a replacement device if your phone is stolen.

Accidental damage

Unexpected and unintentional physical harm to a mobile device, such as a cracked screen or liquid damage. Which is not covered under warranty.

Airtime abuse

Airtime abuse can occur when a phone or gadget is lost or stolen, and refers to the unauthorised excessive use such as making calls, sending messages, or using data.

Accessory cover

Should something happen to your mobile phone, we’ll also cover any accessories attached to it worth up to £175 such as a case, charger or wired headphones*

Worldwide cover

Your phone will be insured within the UK, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland and unlimited cover for one year worldwide.

Mechanical breakdown

Mechanical breakdown refers to failure of internal mechanical components of the device, such as the battery, buttons, or ports outside of manufacturer warranty.

Cracked screen

A cracked screen can affect the functionality of a phone whether it’s a slight crack or a full-blown smash, we’ll get your device’s display back in working order.

Liquid damage

Liquid damage refers to accidental harm caused by exposure to liquid like water, coffee, etc. Resulting from a dropped phone or spills.

How often will you need to pay for your Nothing?

This depends on which type of insurance policy you have chosen – monthly or annual. We like to give our customers the option so you can pick whichever you prefer.
If you’ve chosen a monthly policy, you will have to pay once a month on a date most convenient for you. You could time your payment with your payday so you know when your expenses will leave your account. If you’ve chosen an annual policy, you will have to pay once a year. This can be ideal if you simply want to pay for 12 months of cover up front. That way, you know your insurance is sorted for the whole year!

Please note, we don’t take any payments in the first 14 days after the policy start date, therefore your first two payments might be taken in the same month (if you’ve chosen a monthly policy). Don’t worry if this happens. After the first month, you will only have to pay once a month.

Excess on Nothing Phone

If you have to make a claim, you will have to pay an excess. The excess is a small amount of the initial cost for repairs or a replacement, then we take care of the rest.

Excess usually depends on your Nothing Phone model and claim type. Higher-priced devices and loss or theft claims have a higher excess, while cheaper phones and accidental damage claims have lower excess.

How does the age of your handset affect the cost of Nothing Phone?

Usually, the older the Nothing Phone gets, the cheaper it becomes to insure. This is usually because demand for them drops as newer models are released.
We always check the changes in the selling prices of Nothing Phone so that we can offer the most competitive price for you.
However, it is important to remember that we can only insure phones up to 36 months old.

Common exclusions with loveit coverit Nothing Phone

When looking to get your phone insured, there are a few things that may prevent you from getting an Nothing Phone insurance policy. This is mainly due to the condition the Nothing Phone is already in or where it was purchased from.

The most common insurance exclusions are:

We can’t insure your Nothing Phone if it is already damaged
We can’t insure your phone if it is more than thirty six months old
We can’t insure your phone if it is not purchased from UK VAT registered company
We can’t insure your phone if you’re not a resident of the UK
We can’t insure your phone if it is grade B or C refurbished
We can’t accept your claim if you have not paid for your Nothing insurance

Where possible, your replacement phone will be the same make, model, and colour as before. If this is not possible, or it’s no longer produced, we will provide a phone that’s as close as possible to the original in terms of value and features.

Your phone will either be brand new or refurbished as new – you won’t be able to recognise the difference though. It will also have a warranty.
